2026 will be a decisive year for the future of the CHM: during the municipal elections on Sunday 15 March 2026, a new municipal council will be elected, which will determine the future of the municipality of Vendays-Montalivet for the next six years – and which will therefore also be decisive for the CHM. During this period, it will be necessary to renew the CHM's lease, reorganize the rules for building bungalows, and deal with many other issues – you will find more information on this subject on other pages.
In addition to the residents of Vendays-Montalivet, foreigners who pay property tax in France, i.e. all owners of bungalows at CHM, are also entitled to vote. In order to vote, you must register on the electoral roll before Wednesday 4 February 2026, which all CHM user associations have requested on several occasions.
We have created this website to help voters make informed, fact-based voting decisions. To this end, we will hold a public consultation with representatives from the electoral rolls during the week leading up to the elections.
Why MontaFacts? Since some candidates maintain close contacts with CHM user associations, it makes sense to conduct a survey among the candidates not within the associations, but with their support. In addition, we invite everyone to share their constructive suggestions with us.
